How to Choose a 1Zpresso Manual Coffee Grinder?

Greetings, fellow coffee-lovers. Here we go again.

We consider ourselves a player-type manual coffee grinder company as we are constantly improving the features of the manual coffee grinder based on the feedback from our beloved coffee-lovers.

I could think of the most common question that we’ve received is:

How to choose a 1Zpresso manual coffee grinder? There are so many of em.
What’s the difference between K-Plus and JE-Plus, I am so confused.
How do I perform the grind setting adjustment?
The mystery had solved.
How do I calibrate my 1Zpresso manual coffee grinder?
Another mystery had solved.

There are three kinds of adjustment settings from 1Zpresso manual coffee grinder, the classic internal adjustment design (Q2, JX, JE, JS grinder), the minor upper adjustment design (JX-Pro, JE-Plus grinder), and the proudly announced awarded external adjustment design (E-Pro, K-seriesK-Pro, K-Plus grinder).

Besides the Accessories are included in the Pro and Plus tiers grinder.
We are going to reveal all the features of the 1Zpresso manual coffee grinder to clear your wonder.

Pour-over

Q2 Grinder
One of the favorite items to go camping and hiking with. Nothing beats glazing the horizon on top of the mountain when you enjoy the coffee-break. A friendly travel-sized grinder with a 38mm burr size could fulfill your daily pour-over coffee needs.

JX Grinder
I would recommend JX grinder to the coffee-lovers who’re mainly brewing pour-over. It employed the large burr as 48mm and the classic internal adjustment resulted in greater grinding efficiency.

Espresso

JE Grinder
I would suggest JE grinder to the coffee-lovers who’re mainly brewing espresso. It is equipped with the burr size of 47mm and the classic internal adjustment.

JE-Plus Grinder
The premium version of JE grinder. The Itamill-coated burr set as 47mm and the minor top adjustment design has 12.5 microns per click which allows you to find the sweet spot of the espresso. And the magnetic catch-cup is ideal for brewing espresso and works well with 51mm and 58mm portafilter.

Pour-over & Espresso

JX-Pro grinder
The advanced version of JX grinder, it shares the same burr design as 48mm, except for the adjustment design. The overall grinder with the fine adjustment design (12.5 microns per click).

K-Pro grinder
The visible external adjustment with 90 clicks per round and the grinding efficiency as the specialized K Burr with 48mm.

K-Plus grinder
It has the same external adjustment design with 90 clicks and the specialized K Burr with 48mm as K-Pro grinder and the same magnetic catch-cup design as JE-Plus grinder with a capacity of 35~40g.

The Grinding Result of 1Zpresso Grinder

We ran some grinding tests for the grinders with the 15g light-roasted coffee beans on Nov 19, 2020.
We thoughts it might help the coffee-lover to clear the wonder about the grinding consistency, it is not a professional test for particle distribution though.

How to Set 1Zpresso Grind Settings?

Greetings, fellow coffee-lover.

Do you know how to read the grind setting reference of the 1Zpresso manual coffee grinder?
Here is the tutorial for y’all to learn.

I personally tired of carefully adjusting the grinder when there are many clicks without knowing where it was.

All the burr in the grinder was calibrated by the 1Zpresso team to ensure maximum stability over time.
The outer ring and the burr were built through precision finishing so tolerance was expected as the first few clicks of the outer ring and the burr would touch.

Many of you know there are many models of 1Zpresso manual coffee grinder.
Kindly read the article to learn how to find the zero point in order to start the grind setting adjustment.
