Adjusting the Grind Setting

1. Set the Grind Size:
As shown in the diagram, the triangle indicator points to the selected grind setting.

  • Turn the adjustment dial counterclockwise → larger numbers = coarser grind
  • Turn the adjustment dial clockwise → smaller numbers = finer grind

2. Adjustment Range and Precision:
The dial provides 100 clicks per full rotation, with each click adjusting the burr spacing by 0.015 mm (15 microns), allowing slight adjustment beyond one full roation for added flexibility.

Distance between the outer and inner burrs is approx. 1.5mm after one full rotation.

3. Zero Calibration:
After disassembling and reassembling the grinder, always reset the adjustment dial disk to “0” before use.
Please refer to the Calibration Section for detailed instructions.

4. Recommended Settings:
For best results, refer to the Grind Settings Reference chart for recommended settings by brewing method.

5. Start Grinding:

  • Slide open the bean holder lid and add coffee beans
  • Close the bean holder lid securely
  • Deploy the handle unit for use
  • Turn the handle clockwise to begin grinding

Disassembly

1. Turn the adjustment dial disk counterclockwise to the coarsest setting, then pull it upward to remove it.

2. Remove the Internal Components:

2.1 Remove the magnetic catch-bin.
2.2 Hold the magnetic bean holder + outer burr unit firmly against the top of the grinder frame. From the bottom, push the inner conical burr and central shaft upward.
2.3 Rotate the knurled thumb nut until the marked corner (dot) aligns with the edge of the square top of the central shaft.
2.4 Remove the knurled thumb nut and the upper bearing.
Tip: For easier removal, you may turn the grinder upside down after Step 4 (store the handle beforehand).

3. While still holding the pieces against each other, push the magnetic tenon out of its slot in any direction to release the pieces.

4. Allow the magnetic bean holder + outer burr unit and the central shaft + inner conical burr to drop down completely.
Then remove and separate the internal components into their individual parts:

  • Central shaft + inner conical burr
  • Spring
  • Lower bearing cap

Cleaning

Do not wash or clean the grinder or any of its components with water.
Clean all parts using the included cleaning brush and air blower.

⚠Warning

The following components require special tools and precise calibration. Do not attempt to further disassemble or remove them yourself.

The central shaft and inner conical burr
The magnetic bean holder and outer burr
The grinder frame and handle unit
The internal bearings inside the magnetic bean holder unit

Assembly

1. Reinstall the Internal Components:

1.1. Insert the internal parts back into the magnetic bean holder + outer burr unit in the correct order:

  • Lower bearing cap (raised edge facing upward)
  • Spring
  • Central shaft + inner conical burr

1.2. Hold the magnetic bean holder + outer burr unit and the central shaft + inner conical burr together, and position them beneath the top section of the grinder frame.
1.3. Align the top of the central shaft with the grinder frame’s top opening, while pushing the inner conical burr upward from the bottom.

2. While maintaining upward pressure, insert the magnetic tenon back into its slot until it locks into place.
Ensure the magnetized side faces the vertical section of the grinder frame.

3. Reinstall the Upper Components:

3.1. While continuing to press the inner conical burr upward, reinstall the top components in order:

  • Upper bearing
  • Knurled thumb nut (with the dot facing upward)

3.2. Rotate the knurled thumb nut until the marked corner (dot) aligns with a corner of the square top of the central shaft.

3.3. Place the adjustment dial disk back on top and rotate it clockwise until it returns to the zero position.

Calibration

The grinder is factory-calibrated and does not require recalibration. Only perform calibration if necessary or after disassembly.

Please note that, due to the grinder’s fine micro-adjustments, slight variation is normal. The “0” position may differ by about one click above or below the setting indicator, which is within the acceptable range.

1. Turn the adjustment dial clockwise until you feel slight resistance (do not overtighten), and check whether the setting indicator aligns with “0.”

2. If the setting indicator does not align with “0,” remove the adjustment dial disk.

3. Reinstall the adjustment dial disk so that the “0” aligns with the setting indicator, then press it back into place.

Relocation Instructions

When moving or repositioning the grinder:

  • Turn the suction cup fixing knob counterclockwise until fully loosened.
  • Remove the grinder frame along with the suction cup set components.
  • Detach the silicone suction cup components, rinse them with clean water, and allow them to dry completely before reuse.
