Adjusting the grind setting

  1. Turn the adjustment dial ring clockwise to make the grinds finer and vice versa.
The number (#) on the dial pointer defines whether a finer or coarser grind.
The smaller numbers refer to finer grind, vice versa.
  2. There are 9 numbers, 90 clicks and 2mm in a single rotation and there are 0.022mm/22 microns per click.
  3. Ensure the grinder is well-calibrated after reassembly of the grinder.
Read the calibration guide below or the calibration tutorial post.
  4. Kindly refer to the grind setting tutorial post for several brewing methods.

Coffee Grinding

Calibrating the Adjustment Dial

  • You would need to either loosing or tightening the knurled thumb nut or the adjustment dial to perform calibrating the grinder.
  • It is common for the starting point of the adjustment dial to be around two or more clicks away due to the strength level of securing the knurled thumb nut.

Instructions

K-series grinder
  • Kindly ensure the steps are in order for calibrating.
  1. Turn adjustment dial ring counter-clockwise to the zero/tightest settings.
  2. Ensure the central shaft is not loose nor install incorrectly.
  • The grinder is well-calibrated if the dot is at #0 when the adjustment dial ring is in its tightest position.
Read the following step for calibration if you don’t get the #0 on the zero settings.
