K-series manual coffee grinder

Adjusting the grind setting

  1. Turn the adjustment dial ring counter-clockwise to make the grinds finer and vice versa.
The number (#) on the dial pointer indicates a finer or coarser grind setting.
The smaller numbers refer to the finer grind setting, vice versa.
  2. There are 9 numbers/90 clicks in a single rotation; every clicks moves the burr by 0.022mm/22 microns.
  3. Ensure the grinder is well-calibrated after reassembling the grinder.
Read the calibration guide below or the calibration tutorial post.
  4. Refer to the grind setting tutorial post for several brewing methods.

  • You would need to either loosen or tighten the knurled thumb nut or the adjustment dial to calibrate the grinder.
  • It is common for the zero point of the adjustment dial to be around two or more clicks away due to the strength you use to tighten the knurled thumb nut.
  • We define the zero point as where the handle starts to spin with resistance instead of the tightest position. Please do not overtighten the dial to prevent it from getting stuck.
