1Zpresso – K-Series (K-PRO / K-PLUS) Grinder

User Instructions

Adjusting the grind setting
- Turn the adjustment dial ring clockwise to make the grinds finer and vice versa.
The number (#) on the dial pointer defines whether a finer or coarser grind.
The smaller numbers refer to finer grind, vice versa. - There are 9 numbers, 90 clicks and 2mm in a single rotation and there are 0.022mm/22 microns per click.
- Ensure the grinder is well-calibrated after reassembly of the grinder.
Read the calibration guide below or the calibration tutorial post. - Kindly refer to the grind setting tutorial post for several brewing methods.
Coffee Grinding
- Put the coffee bean into the hopper after removing the handle. The maximum capacity of K-Pro grinder is around 30~35g and K-Plus grinder is around 35g~40g.
- Grind the coffee beans clockwise with the handle attached.

Disassembly

Calibrating the Adjustment Dial
- You would need to either loosing or tightening the knurled thumb nut or the adjustment dial to perform calibrating the grinder.
- It is common for the starting point of the adjustment dial to be around two or more clicks away due to the strength level of securing the knurled thumb nut.
Instructions

- Kindly ensure the steps are in order for calibrating.
- Turn adjustment dial ring counter-clockwise to the zero/tightest settings.
- Ensure the central shaft is not loose nor install incorrectly.
- The grinder is well-calibrated if the dot is at #0 when the adjustment dial ring is in its tightest position.
Read the following step for calibration if you don’t get the #0 on the zero settings.

- The Red dot is pointing in the right direction instead of #0. Remember the click between the “0” and the Red dot.
Turn the adjustment dial ring clockwise to a coarser setting as the gap inside the adjustment dial ring enlarges.
- Gently pressing the burr while loosening the knurled thumb nut counter-clockwise by the number of the click divided two.
Turn/retighten the adjustment dial ring counter-clockwise to its zero settings and observe the number (#) pointing at. - Repeat this step or the next step if you failed to attempt the calibration.
